We want to give everyone the opportunity to shape and influence where we’re going. We like to communicate honestly and openly, trial new ideas, learn from our mistakes and operate a supportive, no-blame culture.

We operate a hybrid working model

Our lovely central Edinburgh office is our hub, but we also have a large number of people working remotely across the UK.

If you’re based in Edinburgh you’ll typically work a hybrid pattern, allowing you to benefit from working alongside your team in the office on set days. However we know life can throw up unexpected surprises, and your manager will be able to support you with flexible options as needed.

Remote but not ‘remote’

For those of us working remotely we try to employ a remote but not ‘remote’ approach. Online connection and collaboration are built into FreeAgent’s DNA, so if you’re a remote worker, you’ll still be at the heart of your team.

Our office has plenty of meeting rooms, collaboration spaces and pods so you’ll always be able to connect with office-based colleagues through Google Meets or Slack Hangouts, and you should never feel isolated. We even set up PearBot so you can “pair up” with colleagues across the business for a virtual coffee.

Collaborative by nature

Collaboration is our superpower. It helps us tackle big, hairy problems head-on and enables us to collectively find better solutions that help to make small businesses happier and more successful.

Our various office breakout areas, pods and other spaces are designed to help foster better teamwork and collaboration. Whether you're in the office or working remotely, we work hard to make sure you always feel connected to what's going on and never feel like you're missing out on the action.

An office in the heart of Scotland’s capital

Our office is our hub and it’s a great place to be. Located in central Edinburgh, midway between Waverley and Haymarket stations, it’s well served by public transport with lots of great places to eat out and have a drink nearby.

We’ve worked hard to create a space that’s welcoming and friendly, giving you everything you need to be productive and at the top of your game.

Twice a year we down tools for a couple of days for company-wide Hack Days, giving everyone  the opportunity to choose what they work on. It’s a great chance to get creative and work alongside different people.

Our Edinburgh HQ is full of great facilities and perks:
