Our application process is simple, we just ask you to answer a few questions and upload your CV.

- We're hoping to hire a human for this vacancy, so we’d like to see your own thoughts and experiences in your application, not those generated by an AI tool
- Please include dates (month and year) for education and employment. It's also helpful to briefly note the reason for leaving previous roles
- We’re happy to consider reasonable adjustments during the process or on the job. You’ll have the option to share details of any support needed in the application form
- Stage 2
Phone interview ☎️
Location: Phone interview (calendar link with options)
Who you’ll meet: A member of the Talent Team
Duration: 20 - 30 minutes
Focus areas: We’ll ask about your career journey, your interest in the role and relevant skills and experience
- Stage 3
Coding test 💻
Managers in our Engineering team don’t have hands on coding responsibilities, but will be responsible for supporting the technical delivery of their teams. We therefore find it useful to understand your approach to a coding challenge at this stage of the process.
We’ll send you our coding challenge to complete in your own time. We typically advise spending no more than a few hours on the task. Your submission will be reviewed anonymously by a few of our of engineers.
- Stage 4
First interview 🖥️
Location: Video interview on Google Meet
Who you’ll meet: Members of the Engineering team
Duration: Around one hour
Focus areas: We'll discuss your design decisions and general approach to the coding test and explore how you would adapt it for different scenarios. You can also use this time to find out more about how the Engineering team work or ask other questions you might have.
- Stage 5
Final interview 🖥️
Location: For remote roles a video interview on Google Meet / For hybrid roles this will be a face to face interview in our office at Edinburgh Quay, EH3 9QG
Who you'll meet: Some Engineering managers and members of the team
Duration: 2 interviews, one is 90 mins and the other 60 mins, with a break in between
Focus areas: A technical session focused on your knowledge and experience, and another session focusing on the behaviours required to effectively manage and support the team.

- Stage 6
Offer 🎉
If you're successful and we offer you the position then our carefully planned preboarding experience will begin.
Together we'll work through getting the contract signed and gathering essential documentation including proof of ID, proof of address and right to work documentation. Offers of employment are also subject to references for which we use a third party to verify your previous employment history.
Then you can look forward to getting started in your exciting new role!
