Our Hiring Process
- Stage 1
Applied
Once we've reviewed your application, we'll be in touch to let you know if you're progressing to the next stage. We aim to get back to you within a few days.
- Stage 2
Phone interview
This 30 minute phone call with the talent team covers your CV in more detail, your motivations and interest in the role and FreeAgent generally. We may have a few questions for you about your relevant experience too.
If you’d like to discuss any reasonable adjustments in the role or the recruitment process please let us know during or before this call.
- Stage 3
Take home exercise
We'll send you a brief for a short written exercise to complete in your own time. This is designed to give us an idea of your skills and experience and it will also give us some insight into how you perceive the FreeAgent tone of voice.
- Stage 4
First interview
A structured video interview with two managers from the hiring team. We’ll ask you to talk us through your take-home exercise, discuss your interest in the role and ask you to share your relevant knowledge, skills and experience. There will be an opportunity to ask your own questions and find out more about the role.
- Stage 5
Final interview
This is another structured interview with members of the hiring team - usually the same people from the first interview, plus at least one other member of senior staff. We’ll usually ask you to prepare a short presentation as part of this session, and ask some further questions about your experience and what you feel you can bring to the role. Again, you’ll have the opportunity to ask us questions.

Offer
If you're successful and we offer you the role then you can sit back and enjoy our carefully planned preboarding experience, before starting in your exciting new role!
