Engineering
FreeAgent’s small business accounting software was launched back in 2007 by a few engineers looking to make their freelance lives simpler. We now employ over 100 engineers (a mix of hybrid and remote in the UK), so we’ve learnt a thing or two along the way.

Design
Our super-talented team of designers work across product, marketing and communications, user research and UX writing.

Sales and Practice Management
Our Sales department is dedicated to helping our Accountant & Bookkeeper partners, and their clients, to grow their businesses and become more profitable. We support our partners at every stage of their journey with FreeAgent, from increasing awareness of our product to coaching clients through our structured education programmes.
We develop strong relationships with our clients, sharing our industry expertise and providing relevant, up-to-date and consistent advice to help develop knowledgeable, successful and happy partners.

Finance and Risk
It has always been essential that FreeAgent operates in a compliant manner, consistent with our regulatory and legislative obligations whilst acting in the best interests of the company and our customers. As an FCA regulated entity (AISP) and the importance of meeting NatWest Group (NWG) policies and other requirements, these obligations become even more pertinent.
The key focus for the Finance team is to ensure the finances of the Company are managed in a proper and efficient way, and to ensure compliance with the various statutory and regulatory governance standards the company operates under as a Limited company owned by NatWest Group.

People Ops
The People Operations team supports and enables everyone in FreeAgent to do their best work, through the delivery of exceptional employee experience across our 3 sub-teams: the People team, Talent team and Front Office team.
